Set up administrator alerts

Goal: The selected channel receives the required events with an agreed recipient.

Before you begin

Select SMTP, Telegram, MAX, Slack, or Webhook and prepare the credentials/recipient.

Procedure

1. Configure the required integration.
2. Link events to a notification rule.
3. Check the event in the system log.

Expected result

The event, the execution of the rule, and the sending and receipt of the message by the correct addressee are confirmed.

If the result differs

Verifying the bot authorization does not prove delivery to the chat. For Webhook, an HTTP success does not prove processing by the receiving system.

Changes and rollback

Confirm the recipients before changing an assignment. Test the new value on a test device first. Do not treat removing an assignment as an automatically confirmed rollback of all local settings: check the final state of the device and the application.
